Cheap Croatia holidays 'attracting British tourists'
Villa holidays and other breaks in Croatia are said to be attracting increasing numbers of Britons due to the great value on offer in the country.
Croatia is one of the best value destinations for British holidaymakers due to a favourable exchange rate, according to the latest Post Office Holiday Cost Barometer.
The cost of everyday items, such as sun cream, food and drink, is said to be considerably lower in Croatia than in many more established travel destinations, meaning holidaymakers can take less spending money.
Sarah Munro, Post Office head of travel services, said: "The tremendous summer increases recorded for the Croatian kuna provide clear evidence that not all UK holidaymakers deserted Europe or the Med for a staycation this year."
Visitors to Croatia this month have the added bonus of the chance to see a top jazz vocalist and musician performing live in concert.
Diana Krall is scheduled to call into the Cibona Hall in Zagreb on November 13th - news that could excite owners of private holiday villas in the vicinity of the historic capital.
