Luxury Villa Holidays in Pollenca
We are pleased to offer a great selection of holiday rentals in Pollenca
The town is situated about 6km from the coastal resort and port (Puerto Pollensa), which is well protected with very deep waters. By contrast the sandy beaches and shallow waters of the bay are popular with families. The port has a wide range of restaurants, an extensive Sunday market and excellent bus links to the town.
The bay offers plenty of water sports action with sailing, wind
surfing and scuba diving all available from the long sandy beach
south of the marina. There are also plenty of boat charter options
to caves and coves around the island's coast as well as various
cruises.
Walking is popular in the area and ranges from gentle strolls
around Puerto Pollensa to
more strenuous walking in the island's Tramuntana mountains further
south. The island also boasts a spectacular golf course; Pollenca
Golf Club is nestled between the bays of Pollenca and Alcudia and
the s'Albufereta reserve with panoramic views of both the coast and
the Tramuntana mountains. The golf club is located just 3km from
the town of Pollenca.
Popular with artists and painters due to the stunning colours and
scenery - creative types have been trying to catch this area of the
island on canvas since the turn of the century. There is some
evidence to suggest it was the first 'touristed' area on the island
much due to its natural scenery.
Pollenca sits at the north-eastern corner of the island, close to
both Formentor and Alcudia, around 30 minutes transfer from Palma
International Airport.
