Marbesa Villa Holiday Guide
Estepona is situated close to the Sierra Bermeja mountains in a stunning location on Spain's Costa del Sol. Although a popular holiday destination, it has still retained many areas that are Spanish through and through. It is approximately 50 minutes from Malaga airport and around 25 to 30 minutes from Puerto Banus and Marbella. So if you can drag yourself away from the gorgeous beaches and exciting nightlife, there is much to see and do just a short distance away.
Estepona is perfect for families as it has two Blue Flag beaches, including the sandy La Rada. There are great play areas for the kiddies and some excellent beach bars. Golfers are well catered for with the Estepona Golf and Selwo Safari is perfect for all the family; see the animals living in semi-wild conditions. If you love shopping, then the Wednesday morning market is great fun: buy anything from fresh fruit and vegetables through to shoes, clothes and souvenirs.
Take a stroll around the old town of Estepona. The Spanish love to decorate their homes with window boxes full of brightly coloured flowers and there are some enchanting little squares where you can sit with tapas and a delicious ice-cold sherry or beer. You will also discover many quaint shops and the Plaza de las Flores is lovely as is the Castle of San Luis.
Nightlife is excellent: from sipping a cocktail at sunset on the beach at a chiringuito, fine or fast food dining, live music bars through to nightclubs and discos. Many bars and restaurants can be found in the town centre as well as the beaches and most stay open until late.
Great for families, singles and couples alike, Estepona and your beachfront villa has much to offer including happy memories of a great holiday that will always bring a smile to your face.
