Guadalmina Holiday Guide
If you want to be very close to the beach, then Guadalmina is ideal. Situated on Spain's wonderful Costa del Sol, the airport at Malaga is just over an hours easy drive and the resort is around 10 minutes from the glamorous Puerto Banus and 15 minutes from the large town of Estepona.
Take a stroll along the stunning 1.6 km sandy beach and you will arrive at the restored remains of the Roman Baths, Las Bovedas, that date back to the third century. For the sporty types there is much to do including tennis and golf - indeed the 9th hole of the Guadalmina Baja Golf Course can be found right behind the beach. There are also health clubs in the area where you can workout or enjoy a relaxing spa and massage.
Shopping is an enjoyable pastime, perhaps at the Guadalmina Commercial Centre where you will discover a good selection of stores, restaurants, cafés and a large supermarket. If you enjoy markets, there is a great one in Estepona every Sunday morning by the marina and a town market on Wednesdays; here you can buy wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables. The market in Puerto Banus is a must on Saturdays - don't forget to haggle!
Nightlife in Guadalmina is peaceful. Enjoy dinner at a restaurant overlooking the beach and sample a cocktail or two watching a beautiful sunset. For something more lively, head into Puerto Banus where you will find a diverse selection of top quality, chic entertainment including Irish bars with great live music. Alternatively dine in style at the marina, gazing out over yachts worth millions of pounds.
Without any doubt, Guadalmina and your luxury villa offers the best of both worlds; a relaxing place to stay with a wonderful beach and exciting nightlife just a short taxi ride away.
